About Zhirnovsk
Zhirnovsk is a town located on the top of the Volgograd Oblast near the Zhirnovsky District near the River Medveditsa on the left shore flowing directly to River Don. The economy of the town is based upon the processing of the Gas and Oil industry. The town was first known as the joining selo of Zhirnoye and Kurakino together in 1958.
