Tolyatti is a city located on the northwest side of the Samara Oblast in Russia. The city is famous for the largest car manufacturing unit of A Russian Brand AvtoVAZ since late 1960s. The city does not participate in the federal subject as administrative center. The town was first mentioned by the Russian statesman Vasily Tatishchev as the fortress named Stavropol in 1737. The mayor of the city currently is Sergey Andreyev.
