Shelekhov is a town located on the south side of the Irkutsk Oblast in Shelekhovsky District in Russia near the two Rivers Irkut and Olha in between plains. The town head of the Shelekhov is Valery Desyatov. The town was founded when the building of Irkutsk Aluminum Smelter started in May 1953 by the workers and named the town in 1956 in the honor of Russian explorer Grigory Shelikhov.
