About Surovikino
Surovikino is a town located on the southwest side of Volgograd Oblast in Surovikinsky District near the junction of two rivers Chir and Don in west. The town was founded in 1900 as the establishment of railway station around it. The town was granted status in 1966. The total population of the estimated until 2018 is 18,685. The town is capital of Surovikino Urban Settlement and Surovikinsky Municipal District. The total area of the town is 33.433 km2.
