About Shimanovsk
Shimanovsk is a town located western side of the Amur Oblast near the River Bolshaya Pyora on the boundary of Zeya in Russia. The town was founded in 1910 as the junction of the Amur Railway station was constructed and named as Pyora. The Mayor of the town is Nikolay Dontsov. The town was granted township status in 1950.
