Vereya is a town located on the western side of the Moscow Oblast in Forminsky District near the River Protva on right bank. The town was first known in year 1317 of chronicle times. The town was functioned by the tiny Vereya Principality. There is Nativity Cathedral rebuilt in 18th century and was operated by Vladimir of Staritsa.
