Yuryuzan is a town located on the west side of Chelyabinsk Oblast in Ivanovsky District near the River Yuryuzan on tributary of River Ufa on left side. The town was founded as the settlement for the construction of an ironworks and named it as Yuryuzan-Ivanovsky Zavod in 1758. On 18 June 1943 town's name was changed to Yuryuzan and was granted township status. The economy of the town is based upon the production of refrigerators.
