Zheleznogorsk is an industrial town situated on the south side of the Krasnoyarsk Krai in Russia. The town was also known as Krasnoyarsk-26 before receiving its current name. The town area is rich in mineral and chemical composites resulting in the nuclear weapon production in Russia. The reason of economic growth of this town are due to electricity and district heat using graphite-moderated water-cooled reactors and processing of plutonium. The town was first mentioned as the production house for the weapons made with plutonium in 1950. The head of the department in government is Mayor Igor Germanovich Kuksin.
