About Yemva
Yemva is a town situated on the middle west of the Komi Republic in the Knyazhpogostsky District on the River Vym near Syktyvkar in northeast. The town was founded in 1941 as the establishment near the railway platforms of Knyazhpogost. The town was given another name and granted urban-type settlement on same date. The current name of the town is taken from the River Vym and received legal rights in 1985. There is a bandy club of Yemva who plays in different leagues.
