Volgorechensk is a town located on the southern side of the Kostroma Oblast near the River Volga on the right shore in Russia. The town was first mentioned as the establishment of the Power Station in Kostroma for the employees in 1964. The town was given town's legal rights in 1994 and city district status in 2005. The town is capital of Volgorechensk Urban Okrug.
