About Tulun
Tulun is a town located on the southwest side of the Irkutsk Oblast near the River Iya in Russia. The town was founded in Iya Valley as a Village in the second mid of the 18th century. The town was the important trade center after Tran-Siberian railway line was constructed in 20th century. The town was granted township status in 1927.
