Tobolsk is a town located on mid-north of the Tyumen Oblast in between the two Rivers Tobol and Irtysh. The town was founded by a group of Yermak's Cossacks near the remains of Qashiq under the order of Daniil Grigor'yevich Chulkov in 1590.
