Tara is a town located on the eastern side of the Omsk Oblast in the junction between Rivers Tara and Irtys in Russia. The town was first mentioned in 1594 as a fort in the result of entry of Yermak’s in Siberia. The town is very old in the Omsk Region. The head of the government of the town is Yevgeny Mikheyev.
